Electrical engineer

Wärtsilä is a world leader in marine technology and is looking for an Electrical Engineer to install, maintain, test, and commission electrical power distribution and power control systems for clients. The role involves conducting fault finding, troubleshooting, site surveys, and preparing detailed work specifications, among other responsibilities.

Requirements

• Install, maintain, test, and commission electrical power distribution and power control systems
• Compile detailed technical reports for customer approval
• Conduct fault finding, troubleshooting, site surveys, and prepare detailed work specifications
• Test and commission LV & HV Switchboards
• Assist with all work being conducted in the workshop (panel build, FAT's etc) and on site
• Prepare a list of tools, test equipment, and materials needed for workload
• Carry out the commissioning of generator controls and power management systems
• Liaise with customer on site to generate enquiries and technical queries
• Ensure that all activities on-site are carried out in accordance with the site safety rules and in compliance with the Company's Health and Safety obligations
• Adopt a pleasant, adaptable attitude when requested to assist Company staff with any 'ad-hoc' duties required
