CNC Operator I

Sets up computerized numerically controlled machine tools and related equipment for machining operations. Participates in problem-solving activities and contributes to quality improvements. Operates machines when required. Trains other department employees and provides performance assessment feedback to supervisor.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of CNC setup experience
• 1 to 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
• Mandatory 4th-axis machining experience
• Understanding of and experience with offsets and adjusting them
• Understanding of and experience with the G52 line in the CNC program
• Experience with edge finder and dial indicator
• The ability to read and interpret blueprints is a must
• Ability to use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and dial indicators
