Job Description
We are seeking a LineHaul Tug Mate to join our team at Vulcan Materials Company. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and team management skills, as well as experience operating a tug boat in rivers and/or bays with multiple barges. The role involves championing safety, overseeing crew members, and performing daily inspections and maintenance of the vessel's interior and exterior.
Requirements
- Valid Merchant Mariner Credential
- 200-Ton Master Towing certification
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Previous experience operating a tug boat in rivers and/or bays with multiple barges
- Experience navigating shallow waters and maneuvering a tug with a tow through bridges
- Flexibility to work overtime and extended hours
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions while wearing protective equipment
