Release of Information Specialist (Temp/Project-Based)

The Release of Information Specialist (Temp/Project-Based) within VRC Companies, LLC (VRC) is responsible for processing requests for medical records in a timely and efficient manner. They must maintain accuracy, protect patient privacy, and comply with HIPAA regulations, while interacting with healthcare facilities and requesting parties. This role is client-facing and requires a high level of communication and organizational skills.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (GED) required; degree preferred
• Prior experience with ROI fulfillment preferred
• Demonstrated attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated documentation and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to maintain productivity and quality performance
• Basic knowledge of medical records and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) preferred
• Prior experience with EHR/EMR platforms preferred
• Prior experience with Windows environment and Microsoft Office products
• Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with team members, clients, and requestors
