Supervising Producer, Politics Video Podcast

Vox is seeking a supervising producer with experience covering the political process to lead the development and launch of a new politically-focused video podcast. The role will oversee show development and lead production teams, collaborating with the host talent and Vox editorial leaders to shepherd content from pitch to launch.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in digital video production
• Track record of success creating editorial or creator-driven content for social and streaming platforms
• Ability to produce both longform and shortform video content
• Passion for Vox's mission of helping audiences understand what really matters
• Experience covering politics, policy, and the political process
• Deep research, reporting, scripting, and high-quality studio and field production skills
• Expert-level understanding of Adobe Suite, with a high-level of expertise in Premiere and knowledge of After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Familiarity with vertical video editing tools such as Capcut, Descript
• Strong creative instincts combined with technical production fluency
• Experience managing freelancers or vendors, and clear creative direction that ensures timely, high-quality delivery
• Excellent editorial instincts and scriptwriting ability
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills, as well as attention to detail
• Collaborative team player who will enjoy working across the organization
• Deep understanding of video platform ecosystems (YouTube, TikTok, Reels), including what drives performance, how users engage, and what makes shows grow
