Support the design and development of mechatronic subsystems, including gantries, actuators, sensors, and custom mechanical linkages for Voltera's products, such as the V-One PCB printer and NOVA materials dispensing system. Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to integrate motion components into cohesive product assemblies.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in Mechatronics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong foundation in mechanical design fundamentals: force analysis, kinematics, mechanical constraints, motion system layout.
- Hands-on experience working with precision motion components (e.g., linear rails, lead screws, belt drives, stepper/servo systems).
- Proficiency with 3D CAD (e.g., OnShape, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with common sensors and electromechanical interfaces (e.g,. endstops, hall effect sensors, encoders).
- Basic understanding of how mechanical design choices affect control, calibration, and user experience.
- Strong collaboration and documentation skills to support fast-paced, cross-functional development.
Benefits
- Three weeks' vacation to start
- Paid end-of-year company shutdown
- Flexible work hours
- Family-friendly work culture
