Home Health Aide/Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

VITAS Home Health Aides (HHA) provide personal care and services to hospice patients to augment family members' or other caregivers. Responsibilities include home health aide duties such as hygiene assistance, meal preparation, ambulation assistance, and teaching basic skills. The role reports to a VITAS Nurse and emphasizes patient and caregiver safety and growth.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent preferred
• Documented evidence of 75 hours of training
• Documented evidence of successfully completing a Competency Evaluation
• State Allowable Training/Certification (AL, CO, DC, DE, FL, GA, IN, MI, PA, TX, VA, WI, CA, CHHA, CT)
