Requirements
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
- Monitor animal patients' vital signs and overall condition during procedures
- Prepare animals for surgery, including catheterization and anesthesia monitoring
- Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Provide proper animal handling and restraint techniques to ensure safety for both staff and animals
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient
- Educate pet owners on proper animal husbandry practices and post-operative care
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including kennel areas
