Job Description
This role is for a Certification Engineer at Vertical, a company focused on Advanced Air Mobility. The Engineer will perform compliance verification for electrical systems, review documentation, ensure compliance with relevant standards, and support the development of certification strategies. They will also contribute to audits, training, and mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements
- Perform compliance verification for electrical systems and equipment design activities.
- Review and approve compliance demonstration documents.
- Ensure compliance with relevant Certification Specifications (CS), Environmental Protection Requirements, and Special Conditions.
- Support the development of compliance strategies for major and minor changes to type design.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of applicable regulations (CS, AMC, GM) and industry standards.
- Conduct and support audits and ensure alignment with the approved Design Organisation Handbook (DOH).
- Train and mentor junior engineers on certification topics.
- Developing and checking certification-related documents.
