Job Description
Vertical Aerospace is pioneering electric aviation with their eVTOL aircraft, the VX4, and is rapidly growing. They are seeking an Advanced Embedded Software Engineer to contribute to the development and certification of their next-generation BMS software for eVTOL aircraft. The role involves software development, validation, verification, and certification, working within a collaborative, safety-focused engineering team. They focus on redefining aerospace best practices.
Requirements
- Develop low-level functions and drivers for embedded software.
- Create unit tests for low-level verification.
- Validate and verify safety-critical software components.
- Review software functionality and documentation in accordance with requirements.
- Develop and maintain requirements, design artefacts, documentation, and traceability.
- Produce both high- and low-level software specifications.
- Conduct hands-on testing and debugging at the hardware level.
