Senior Manager, Harness Engineering

Vast is seeking a Senior Manager, Harness Engineering to oversee the development and qualification of cable harnesses for their commercial space station, Haven-1. This role involves recruiting, empowering, and managing a team responsible for designing and testing harness components within a CAD environment. The focus is on leveraging technology to improve design, materials, and manufacturing processes for a vital component of a commercial space station.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical engineering or equivalent STEM degree or 12+ years of industry experience
• 5+ years of mechanical design, cable harness design, routing, and testing
• Experience with CAD and harness design software such as Zuken E3 for harness drawings
• 2+ years of experience in engineering leadership managing technical projects
• Track record of deploying products with successful space flight heritage
• Experience designing harnesses to IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC/WHMA-A-620-S, and NASA-STD-8739.4
