Job Description
Varda is seeking a Senior Structures Engineer to join their team. The role involves designing, analyzing, building, and testing primary and secondary structures for their spaceflight infrastructure. The company is focused on commercial space development and operates in a fast-paced, innovative environment. They are seeking an experienced engineer to contribute to projects across a diverse range of topics.
Requirements
- Derive hardware requirements and perform initial design trades.
- Evaluate the impact of hardware design decisions on packaging and environmental factors.
- Own all aspects of hardware delivery (technical and administrative).
- Use hand calculations, finite element analyses, and CAD to ensure hardware meets requirements.
- Develop tooling to support hardware integration and testing.
- Basic technical breadth across other disciplines (avionics, software, GNC, etc.).
- Experience with aerospace hardware development practices.
