Job Description
Valard Construction is seeking a Utility Person to provide support in the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground electrical power systems in the Central Ontario area. This hands-on role requires strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety, contributing to team success and overall project performance. The position involves reading locates, operating heavy equipment, and assisting with site preparation.
Requirements
- Valid Class AZ driver’s license (required)
- Ground Disturbance, WHMIS, Traffic Control, and Book 7 training (required)
- Experience in reading and verifying locates (required)
- Hands-on experience with rock drilling, chipping, boring, and equipment operation (required)
- Experience hauling and operating heavy equipment (asset)
