The Department of Veterinary Clinical and Life Sciences (VCLS) in the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) at Utah State University (USU) seeks candidates for an agricultural animal emphasis clinical assistant or associate professor faculty position. The successful candidate will contribute to the Teaching (95%) and Service (5%) missions of VCLS and the CVM, delivering veterinary instruction in the new Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree curriculum and developing innovative teaching methodologies.
Requirements
- Earned DVM or equivalent veterinary degree
- Eligibility for, or possession of, an active license to practice veterinary medicine in Utah
- Eligibility for, or possession of, an active DEA registration
- Eligibility for, or possession of, USDA National Veterinary Accreditation Program (NVAP) Category II accreditation
- Valid driver's license and ability to comply with institutional Vehicle Use Policy
- Demonstrated excellence in written, oral, and interpersonal communication
- Proven ability to work effectively and collegially within a team-based, collaborative clinical teaching environment
- Clinical veterinary experience with multiple agricultural animal species, including equine
- Familiarity with food animal production systems and agricultural practices relevant to the Intermountain West region
