Job Description
The USC Neural Modeling and Interface Lab seeks a highly motivated postdoctoral scholar to develop and test cortical interfaces and prostheses in behaving animals. The goal is to develop brain-like devices that can mimic and restore cognitive functions. The position is a 12-month fixed-term position with a comprehensive benefits package and an annual base salary range of $65,500 - $72,200.
Requirements
- PhD from a top university with demonstrated research activity in neuroscience or neural engineering
- Prior research experience in electrophysiological recording from behaving animals
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to design and perform electrophysiological and behavioral experiments in rodents
- Ability to design and test multi-electrode arrays for behaving animal recording and stimulation
- Ability to mentor and train junior team members
