Assistant Professor, Biomechanics and Computational Mechanics

The School of Engineering at the University of Guelph invites applications from outstanding individuals for a tenure-track faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will have experience and demonstrated research excellence in biomedical engineering, including biomaterials, biomedical devices, biomechanics and computational mechanics, with applications in human health. The candidate will play a key role in developing and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, and will supervise undergraduate and graduate student curricular and extracurricular design teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Engineering degree
• doctoral degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or related discipline
• engineering license for practice in Canada
• experience and demonstrated research excellence in biomedical engineering
• ability to teach large (200+ students) classes
• supervision of undergraduate and graduate student curricular and extracurricular design teams
