Job Description
The Research Professional will lead and manage genomic and embryological studies of vertebrate pattern formation deploying genomic, imaging, and developmental techniques on fish and amphibian species.
Requirements
- Animal care, husbandry and permitting
- Laboratory purchases
- Observation and maintenance of lab equipment and reagents
- Serves as a resource for collecting data and performing analysis
- Trains new laboratory personnel
- Oversees the OBA confocal microscopy facility
- Trains new confocal microscope users
- Tracks hours of confocal usage
- Performs experiments and collects and analyzes data
- Participates in the promotion of a research project
- Participates in the preparation and writing of grant applications and reports
- Provides peer review of grant applications and scientific manuscripts
