Job Description
The University of Maine is seeking MEOC Advisors to assist students in navigating the admissions process, career counseling, and financial aid. Advisors will provide academic, career, and educational counseling through the high school graduation, application, and financial aid process. The position involves recruiting high school students, conducting workshops, and providing counseling services.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in counseling, education, social work or related field
- Two years of experience working with disadvantaged adults, schools, and community agencies
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work independently and/or supervise students
- Ability to travel extensively within the project service area
- Driver’s license
