Pharmacist - PRN

The UMC Staff Pharmacist is responsible for providing the safest and highest quality of care to patients by optimizing medication therapy and working with healthcare professionals. The pharmacist will review medication orders, identify potential issues, and provide interventions as needed. They will also serve on patient care committees and maintain a professional working relationship with other employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy or a Doctor of Pharmacy degree
• Registration and licensure as a registered pharmacist by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy within the first 90 days of employment
• Good verbal communication skills
• A working knowledge of the hospital organization and nursing and pharmacy theory, practice, and regulations
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and supervisors
