Job Description
Umbra is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Systems Engineering and Test teams within the Space Systems Business Group. The role involves providing leadership and guidance to personnel and programs, managing team growth, and driving innovation and process improvements.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in aerospace engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering and test infrastructure
- 3+ years of experience in project management
- Proficiency in traditional project management practices and tools, such as critical path analysis, resource loading, and MS Project
- Experience with agile project management methodologies and tools, such as Scrum, SAFe, and Jira
- Proven ability to build and support high-performing engineering teams
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environment
