Mammography Technologist, Breast Imaging, PRN, First Shift

UC Health is hiring a PRN Mammography Technologist for the breast imaging department for first-shift at University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The Mammography Technologist performs stereotactic breast biopsies, including scheduling exam with patient, post procedure follow up of patients, phone calls, obtaining biopsy results, faxing to referring physician, tracking in appropriate systems, and informing radiologist of results.

Requirements

• Engages in population appropriate communication.
• Identifies any physical limitations of the patient and deploys intervention when necessary.
• Recognizes and responds appropriately to patients/families with behavioral health problems.
• Performs mammographic and DEXA procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• Maintains appropriate records and supplies.
• Participates in continuing education activities related to the field of Mammography.
• Obtains and maintains required licensure.
• Performs evaluative equipment tests and participates in Quality Assurance program.
• Qualifies patients for funding programs.
• Tracks patient results and notifies appropriate parties to ensure proper follow up is obtained.
