The School of Education at Texas Woman's University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in Educational Leadership. The position is a full-time, 9-month appointment.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Higher Education or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of campus leadership experience at either the K-12 level or higher education level.
- Emerging research agenda and record of publications in scholarly journals that relate to the applicant's field of expertise in Higher Education or related field.
- Potential for seeking and securing externally funded grants.
- Experience integrating technology in educational settings and willingness to implement virtual teaching simulations.
- Ability to mentor graduate students with research projects and dissertations.
- Ability to provide test preparation workshops for each of the tests taken by principal and superintendent candidates.
- Capacity to engage in community/university partnerships.
- Biliterate in English and Spanish
- Experienced in Qualitative and Quantitative research, methodologies, and theoretical frameworks.
- Experience integrating immersive technologies in the classroom with emphasis on augmented and virtual reality
- Experience integrating virtual teaching simulations (Mursion)
- Demonstrated experience teaching, mentoring, and advising non-traditional students and being sensitive to their educational needs
- Documented evidence of working with communities of varied backgrounds
