TSC is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Engineer to support defense manufacturing efforts in Huntsville, AL. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach to optimizing labor, process, materials, space, flow, and equipment in support of high-reliability manufacturing and complex assembly operations.
Requirements
- Provide guidance in the planning, analysis, and implementation of cost-effective production methods for defense-related products and systems.
- Lead production capacity analysis package including people, process, materials, flow, space and equipment etc.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and program teams to optimize the utilization of capital equipment, facilities, materials, and labor.
- Apply operations research and mathematical modeling to evaluate system performance and support production planning, resource allocation, and decision-making.
- Design and improve manufacturing processes and information systems to meet performance, compliance, and delivery requirements.
- Participate and contribute to design review and pre-production review (PRR) etc.
- Develop, audit, and maintain labor standards and work measurement systems for both government and contractor personnel.
- Monitor and analyze labor burn rates, resource utilization, and project expenditures at both the program and cost account.
- Lead or participate in the design, installation, and continuous improvement of systems to support assembly, testing, and quality assurance in a low-rate or full-rate production setting.
- Identify programmatic risks and develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with systems engineers and project leads.
- Lead report preparation, such as WBR, QBR etc for manufacturing systems.
- Champion internal training/certification and curriculum preparation.
- Mentor and coach junior level engineers.
