Job Description
Trexo Robotics is seeking a Senior Robotics Software Developer to improve its existing product and contribute to the development of future devices. The role involves architectural and programmatic work for robotic exoskeletons, research, and collaboration with hardware teams. It's a hybrid position based in Mississauga with a small team focused on solving a big problem and serving an underserved community.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in architecting and writing software for a hardware based product.
- 2+ years of experience leading a small team or acting as a technical lead on larger projects.
- Strong background in robotics concepts such as motion planning, control systems, reading sensors.
- Strong programming and debugging skills in C, C++, and Python.
- Experience with systems programming of embedded Linux.
- Experience writing embedded firmware for microcontrollers (e.g. bare metal or FreeRTOS) and integrating with peripherals.
- Proficiency in documenting requirements and creating comprehensive functional specifications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
