Job Description
The Safety Trainer is responsible for training drivers and location staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing classroom and behind-the-wheel training. The role involves direct supervision of students, tracking attendees, and maintaining training documentation.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years training experience
- 1-3 years transportation, safety, or related experience
- Knowledge of federal and state rules and regulations regarding safety and environmental issues
- Computer literate with knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Good verbal, written and relational communication skills
- Fluent in English
- Demonstrates consistent attendance and punctuality
- Possesses working vehicle to travel within service areas as needed
- CDL CLASS A or B required, including Passenger Endorsement and Airbrakes
