The Maintenance Technician/HVAC is responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on building systems, equipment, and facilities to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-maintained learning environment.
Requirements
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical equipment issues
- Install electrical circuits safely and efficiently
- Maintain sewer systems and perform repairs as needed
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems, including emergency backup generators
- Accurately log all preventive maintenance activities
- Move and set up furniture as required for events or office changes
- Assist the IT department with relocating audio-visual equipment when necessary
- Inspect and maintain building infrastructure, including lighting, doors, windows, and flooring
- Unclog drains and address minor plumbing issues
- Repair or replace doorknobs, locks, and other hardware
- Replace appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, and garbage disposals
- Repair or replace leaky faucets, toilets, and other related plumbing fixtures
- Perform roof repairs and maintenance
- Repair flooring and perform painting and minor concrete work
- Maintain campus vehicles
- Complete minor construction projects and install sprinkler systems across the campus
- Stripe parking lots and maintain clear markings
- Replace and maintain (re-lamping) in campus buildings and outdoor areas
