Job Description
Torex Gold is seeking a Database Administrator to maintain and validate geological production and exploration data in a reliable and compliant database. The role focuses on ensuring the accuracy and quality of production records within the greater Mexico Gold Belt of Mexico, supporting the company’s ambitious growth plans. This position requires strong communication skills and a commitment to continuous improvement of processes and data management systems.
Requirements
- Geologist, Geologist Engineer, Cartographer or Systems Engineer degree
- 5+ years of experience in the mining industry
- 2+ years as a database administrator or SQL programmer
- Experience in data quality control programs (e.g., NI 43-101, JORC)
- Experience operating onsite laboratories
- Knowledge in Acquire
- Knowledge in SQL reporting, exporters, and importers
- Desirable: explicit geological modeling, GIS systems
- Desirable: knowledge in geological modeling
