Senior Data Engineer, E-Commerce (Multiple Positions)

TikTok is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and build efficient and reliable data transformation pipelines for various business needs, including reporting, growth analysis, and multi-dimensional analysis. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree or Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2-5 years of related work experience. They will be responsible for developing and implementing scalable, robust, and extensible big data systems, performing data analysis, ingestion, and integration using Big Data technologies, and mentoring interns and junior data engineers.

Requirements

• Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience.
• 2 years of experience in designing and modeling data warehouse to support data analytics, reporting, and data applications;
• 2 years of experience in implementing data warehouse and ETL processes using Hive, Spark, Hadoop, or SQL Server to optimize the data processing performance;
• 2 years of experience in programming using SQL, Python, or Java;
• 2 years of experience in performing data analysis, design, and development of highly efficient, reliable, and scalable ETL applications using SQL, C#, or Python;
• 2 years of experience in estimating SLAs for the data pipeline, and triaging and debugging data infrastructure issues.
