Job Description
Thorlabs is seeking a full-time Engineering Technician to assist with product development, maintenance, and quality related tasks in Precision Optics and Specialty Fiber Optics. The role involves working closely with engineers and manufacturing operations, providing support in testing, manufacturing, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The position is located in Newton, New Jersey, and may require travel to other locations.
Requirements
- Experience: Entry level to 2 years of industry experience or related coursework
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in basic computer programs and web tools
- Familiarity with ERP software and data entry
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a group environment
- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Experience with 3-D modeling applications is a plus
