Project Engineer

Thompson Pipe Group is seeking a Project Engineer to design and manufacture concrete pressure pipe and steel water pipe products. This role involves drawing engineered-to-order projects ranging from simple installations to complex systems, and is intended as an entry-level to intermediate position for potential advancement within the company. The engineer will work with the Project Engineering group between technical and product design teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Engineering or related Field (or equivalent professional experience preferred)
• Engineer-in-Training certification is of benefit but not required
• Minimum of two years of work experience in a related field preferred
• Civil or mechanical engineering or other similar technical discipline preferred
• Knowledge of land surveying practices or construction management a plus
• Previous project engineering experience is of benefit
• Practical construction experience is of benefit
• Proficiency in MS Office products or equivalent suite of tools
• Proficiency in AutoCad, Release 2016 or higher
• Thorough understanding of algebra, geometry and trigonometry
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Ability to travel
