Program Leader

Program Leaders work with an assigned group of students, serving as a positive adult role model, coach, and mentor. They lead a group of students in an in-person setting, maintaining high standards for behavior and safety, and create an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging. Program Leaders also support students in making positive behavior choices, identify student needs, and communicate with Site Program Manager, teachers, school administration, and parents.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• 48 semester/60 quarter units and/or pass a pre-employment test
• Ability to speak and write Standard English
• Must pass Live Scan (criminal background check via fingerprinting)
• Negative TB Test dated within the last 3 years
• At least six months experience working with a group of 10 or more students in a classroom, afterschool, or recreation environment
• Advanced Math and English skills (K–8)
• Excellent communication skills (Written and Verbal)
• Bi-literate (Spanish preferred)
