Job Description
Thiess is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of pit activities, ensuring safety, productivity, efficiency, and profitability. The role involves coordinating loading and hauling, maintaining safety regulations, providing training, and communicating with stakeholders. This position is crucial for a successful transition to North America for Thiess in the US and Canada.
Requirements
- Ensure employee Health and Safety through compliance with safety regulations.
- Responsible for ensuring proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment.
- Coordinate open pit activities: loading, hauling, dumping, and miscellaneous activities.
- Control pit operations to detect safety violations.
- Maintain safety records and participate in safety meetings.
- Train employees on equipment usage.
- Participate in weekly planning.
- Work collaboratively with the Union.
- Work in compliance with OHSA.
- Fluent in English.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
