Mine Engineer Supervisor

Thiess is accepting applications for the role of Mine Engineer Supervisor located in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. The Mine Engineer Supervisor is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring all phases of the short-term planning processes to ensure they are conducted in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.

Requirements

• Design and develop rolling weekly and 3 monthly equipment operation plans and schedules for the mining operation.
• Manage the Mine’s geology team and responsibilities including leading and development for Geologists as their direct supervisor.
• Ensure implementation and compliance of the Safety Health and Environmental Plans to ensure safe and sustainable mine plans and designs.
• Provide accurate and timely advice on equipment requirements and ensure quality decisions are made using accurate knowledge and practice.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
