Occupational Therapist School OT

TheraPeds Partners is seeking a part-time, short term on-site Occupational Therapist (OT) for a school-based position in Putnam Valley, NY. The role involves providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Sensory Integration, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for working with students with special needs.

Requirements

• BS, Master's, OTD, or PhD in Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited university
• State License as Occupational Therapist
• NBCOT License
• Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
• Experience working with children
• Strong foundation in Sensory Integration and ability to identify and analyze areas of developmental and sensory-motor dysfunction
• Organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in use of technology
• Fingerprint background clearance
• Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications
