Job Description
The Registered Practical Nurse (RPT) will provide supportive nursing care consistent with patient treatment needs and goals. This role involves assisting in patient assessments, developing and implementing care plans, assisting patients with daily living, and providing safe, therapeutic environments. The RPT must maintain knowledge of policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse in the Province of Ontario
- Ability to perform full Registered Practical Nursing functions
- Certified in CPR and First Aid
- Knowledge of Mental Health Act, Health Care Consent Act, and Substitute Decision Act
- Satisfactory Police Records Check
- Valid drivers’ license
- English level A- is mandatory in oral expression
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary treatment team
- Safety and Security training (candidate must agree to complete)
