Laboratory Animal Sciences Technician II

Under general direction, the Laboratory Animal Sciences Technician will perform a variety of tasks following established techniques and procedures. The technician will assist in study execution, collect samples from and administer agents to research animals as IACUC approved studies require.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of relevant post high school education in a science curriculum or 1-5 years of equivalent work experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Internet Explorer, Outlook
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and other heavy equipment
• Ability to wear a respirator and protective clothing or equipment
