Job Description
The building engineer provides maintenance management of the building's mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other systems, ensuring safe and healthy operation for residents, staff, and visitors. This includes inspections, repairs, preventative maintenance, and assistance with vendor services.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in facility/plant engineering and maintenance
- Understanding of engineering design and operational aspects of the Base Building and Critical System Support systems
- Thorough knowledge of state and local safety and building codes
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning, plumbing, and generators
- LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) experience is highly preferred
- EPA 608 Type 2 License/Certification desirable
- Full understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and email
- 1st Class Stationery Engineering license is desired
