Herbicide Applicator (Rail)

As an Herbicide Application Technician, you will work on railroad property to manage vegetation along rail tracks. Your role involves using specialized equipment to spray herbicides on ballast, mixing and loading herbicide, and operating rail-mounted spray equipment, hose and handguns.

Requirements

• Herbicide application experience considered an asset
• Industrial herbicide applicator license is considered an asset
• Valid provincial driver’s license
• Licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle; air brake endorsement is an asset
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
• Valid First Aid certification is preferred
• Enform or Forest Safety Council training preferred
• Ability to work safely as part of a team and possess the willingness to learn and progress
