Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related field
- 2-3 years of professional experience in both writing and editing, ideally within Christian publishing, ministry, or education
- Demonstrated passion for books and the craft of publishing
- Proficiency in The Chicago Manual of Style and experience applying house style guides
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Acrobat, Photoshop)
- Knowledge of digital and print production processes, including proofreading, typesetting, and eBook conversion
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of content production workflows, quality assurance, and vendor coordination
- Awareness of legal and ethical standards in publishing, including permissions and copyright compliance
- Experience managing multiple projects under tight deadlines with attention to detail and accuracy
- Understand how AI integrates into your position
