Job Description
The Patient Transporter is responsible for transporting patients to and from treatment appointments using various transport devices (stretchers, wheelchairs, beds, ambulation). They follow departmental and national guidelines, maintain safety, handle equipment, and provide excellent patient care. They are a positive role model and contribute to hospital operations and patient experience.
Requirements
- Follow patient identification policy.
- Maintain safety standards and use body mechanics.
- Handle oxygen tanks, infusion pumps, and IV's.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance.
