The High Jump Coach reports to the Director of Athletics and coordinates all track & field programming in collaboration with the Head Varsity Track & Field Coach. The High Jump Coach will train girls and boys in high jump, develop jumper technique and skill, and create and implement jump drills. The position requires travel, work in the evenings and weekends, and summer league program development.
Requirements
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)
- One to two years of high jump coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level (preferred)
- CPR Certified through American Red Cross
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, and would be expected to drive student athletes to off-campus trainings and games
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
- Experience working and communicating with diverse groups of people
- Ability to act professionally and keep students’ records confidential
- Ability to make decisions and handle conflicts
- Problem-solving skills and creativity
