Plate Saw Operator - 3rd Shift

The Plate Saw operator will perform precision measuring, cutting, and finishing of raw materials used for manufacturing, setting up, operating, and running the CNC Plate Saw equipment.

Requirements

• Cut order per nesting sheet instructions and document necessary information.
• Follow set guidelines for proper inspection of material and cut size.
• Keep work areas clean and unused material put away in proper location.
• Transfer completed pieces to inventory, both physically and systematically.
• Use proper lifting equipment (forklift, crane with vacuum lifter) when handling material.
• Know and understand proper procedures for operating plate saws and HEM saw.
• Maintain maintenance and inspection checklist for plate saws, HEM saw and lifting equipment.
• Label completed cut pieces and unused remanent material.
• Use a forklift to load or unload, move or stack materials or products safely in their appropriate place.
• Pull material using FIFO.
• Always maintain inventory batch traceability.
• Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Assist in the identification of process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Clean and maintain equipment to ensure proper operation and longevity.
