Job Description
The Academy of Alameda is seeking a highly qualified Special Education Program Administrator to lead the Special Education Department and work collaboratively with students, staff, and families. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of special education compliance and practices, and a commitment to providing world-class education to diverse student populations.
Requirements
- Valid California Education Specialist credential
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Masters in Special Education or related area preferred
- Minimum 5 years Special Education experience
- Knowledge of and involvement in special education compliance, discipline laws, and procedures
- Knowledge of current tools and techniques utilized throughout the state to assess and monitor student performance
- Experience with SEIS
