Certified Medical Assistant

Provide patient care management to an assigned clinic in the areas of clerical and clinical duties. Assist providers with medication reconciliation, orders, refills, and prior authorizations; order laboratory testing, and provider referrals. Administer medications per the physician's orders.

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant through a state or national agency
• Bilingual in English/Spanish
• Current Texas Tech University, Texas Tech University Systems, or Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center employee
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from an approved certified program for assistants in the area of required specialty
• Certification by an approved accredited certifying agency in the specialty in which the particular work will be performed
