College Recruitment Advisor role involves guiding high school students through the college application process, providing admissions and financial aid advice, and establishing productive working relationships with high school personnel. The role requires a strong passion for helping students and a commitment to their success. The position is a full-time, near-peer college adviser in an underserved high school.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an institution in the state of Texas
- No experience required
- Ability to relate well with a high school student population
- Ability to work as a regional/off-site team member in a dynamic organization
- Must be literate in the English language and able to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions
- Perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to make decisions independently and, at times, with little to no direction
- Self-directed, initiator, and problem-solver
- Ability to work urgently on multiple tasks at once in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment
- Commitment to the success of high school students through the college application process
