The Sr. Manufacturing Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining high-speed production equipment, providing training assistance, and handling higher-level problems and troubleshooting. The position requires minimal supervision and involves working independently on off-shifts or in place of a supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma with a minimum of five years of production maintenance experience
- AA degree in mechanical or electrical discipline (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and handle higher-level problems and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of mechanics of machine motion and drive
- Ability to transfer knowledge to others
- Knowledge of production reporting tools
- Mechanical/electrical aptitude with analytical problem solving skills, flexibility, and understanding of high speed production equipment
- Experience in operation of basic machine shop equipment (i.e. drill press, belt sander, grinder, band saw, etc.) and forklift
- Organizational skills as well as proper documentation skills
- Aptitude for focused attention and well organized thought process
- Communication skills both verbal and written
