Tenneco is seeking a VG Line Operator I to operate and adjust valve guide compacting presses, and furnace, and perform visual and dimensional inspection. The successful candidate will be part of a team of relentless problem-solvers who are committed to making a tangible impact.
Requirements
- Create a quality product
- Participate in training to produce a quality product and use preventative measures
- Comply with legal and other requirements to avoid injury and/or ill health
- Adhere to the facility's quality, environmental, health and safety Management Systems
- Read routers, production schedules, and special instructions
- Record information for inspection and production using various forms, logs, and computer systems
- Monitor product for product specifications using inspection equipment
- Verify equipment settings and controls
- Start, shut down, and operate compacting presses
- Load, unload, and operate furnaces
- Operate overhead hoists and hand jacks
- Distribute powder into powder hoppers and press lines
- Monitor furnace temperatures, atmosphere, and belt speed
- Perform TPMs and general cleaning
- Meet specific training and assessment requirements
