Job Description
The successful candidate will work as a Web Operations (Cloud Engineer) to support the Vehicle Excise Duty (VED) Reform Project, utilising agile and iterative development practices. The role involves operational management of Linux servers, building and configuring new server platforms, and supporting development teams with configuring applications for deployment.
Requirements
- Proven experience of working with Amazon Web Services and Amazon cloud environments using automated deployment toolsets; Ansible is preferred
- At least 3 years of hands-on working experience with Red hat Linux, Ubuntu or other operating systems in a cloud environment
- Experience with software integration and deployment; Jenkins expertise is preferred
- Experience in cloud-based auto scaling and load balancing
- Experience of configuration and management of scanning, malware detection and antivirus tools
