We are looking for a dedicated Port Engineer to join our team at T-Solutions. As a Port Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the operational readiness of our ships and will be responsible for managing an online database, validating work requests, and overseeing repairs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or an equivalent marine engineering degree
- U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Merchant Marine Third Assistant Engineer (unlimited) or higher with a minimum of two years sea time as a USCG licensed merchant marine engineer
- Knowledge of and recent experience in commercial maritime, U.S. Navy (USN), USCG, Military Sealift Command (MSC), or National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) ship maintenance and repair
- Active DoD Secret security clearance (desired but not required)
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must possess a valid Driver's License
- Must have reliable transportation to and from various work locations
- Must have a valid passport or the ability to obtain a passport
- Ability to traverse stairs, fixed ladders, and ladder wells frequently while walking ships daily
- Wherewithal to spend several consecutive days at sea while underway as needed
- Capable of sitting for long periods, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling
- Reaching, handling, using equipment, keyboards, and mobile devices
- Lifting boxes (files and supplies) up to 20 lbs
