Job Description
T-Solutions is seeking a dedicated Port Engineer to ensure the operational readiness of ships. This role focuses on validating shipboard conditions through personal observation and evaluating maintenance needs. The Port Engineer will lead a maintenance team and will be responsible for supporting TYCOM and the Commanding Officer in all off-ship maintenance and modernization efforts, offering a comprehensive view of the vessel’s maintenance needs.
Requirements
- Valid U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Merchant Marine Third Assistant Engineer license (unlimited) or higher
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent marine engineering degree
- Minimum of four years recent experience in commercial maritime, USN, USCG, MSC, or NOAA ship maintenance and repair.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance (desirable, but will be considered if available)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Reliable transportation
- Valid Passport or ability to obtain a passport
- Ability to communicate with supervisor
